2011 Cleveland Browns
Pat Shumur has taken over as the team’s head coach and GM Tom Heckert is expecting bigger things from the team that went 5-11 in 2010. The team will transition into a West Coast Style of offense while the defense will play out of the 4-3.
In the draft, the team selected DT Phil Taylor out of Baylor with the 21st overall selection. Taylor has won the starting LDT position next to veteran RDT Ahtyba Rubin. The teams two second round picks, DE Jabaal Sheard and WR Greg Little have both won starting positions on the squad as well. Other rookie starters include FB Owen Marecic and OT Jason Pinkston.
The biggest concern coming into the season is the personnel at the receiver position. This is the second season for QB Colt McCoy and the team claims they are happy with the receivers they have, Mohamed Massaquoi, Joshua Cribbs, Jordan Norwood, Rookie Greg Little, Brian Robiskie, and Carlton Mitchell
